DWR holds community meeting in Sutter County tonight at Y-S Fairgrounds

Work crews doing “finishing work” on the main spillway, which has been repaired to the extent it could be used, if necessary, during the current rainy season. However, the Department of Water Resources has lowered the lake levels to a point they don’t anticipate having to use the spillway this year. Additional work to the main spillway and the emergency spillway will be completed in 2018, and DWR is considering some other long range projects. DWR will hold a community meeting  Thursday, February 7, at 6 p.m. at Franklin Hall at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds.

The Department of Water Resources will conduct its third community meeting about the Oroville Dam spillway reconstruction in Sutter County, tonight at 6 p.m. at Franklin Hall at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds, 442 Franklin Avenue, Yuba City.
